Dupuytren's Contracture: Current Concepts and Management

Abstract

Dupuytren's contracture is a benign fibroproliferative disorder of the palmar fascia that may result in disabling finger contractures. While a number of nonsurgical therapies hold promise for the future, surgery remains the current treatment of choice. This article reviews the pathologic anatomy, etiopathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and current methods of treatment for Dupuytren's contracture.
