This article refers to:
RETRACTED ARTICLE: Effect of steel converter slag as iron fertilizer in some calcareous soils

Statement of Retraction

We, the Editor and Publisher of Acta Agriculturae Scandinavica, Section B — Soil & Plant Science, are retracting the following article:

Ali Mohammadi Torkashvand, Effect of steel converter slag as iron fertilizer in some calcareous soils, Acta Agriculturae Scandinavica, Section B — Soil & Plant Science, 61 (1) 2011 pp. 14-22, doi: 10.1080/09064710903410031

due to a substantial overlap with the previously published article:

A. Abbaspour, M. Kalbasi and H. Shariatmadari, Effect of Steel Converter Sludge as Iron Fertilizer and Soil Amendment in Some Calcareous Soils, Journal of Plant Nutrition, 27 (2) 2004 pp. 377-394, doi: 10.1081/PLN-120027661

While this article does reference the earlier article published in Journal of Plant Nutrition, we nevertheless believe the level of similarly between the two articles is too great to warrant a separate publication. We believe this resulted from a lack of knowledge about publication ethics practices on the author's part rather than a case of deliberate misconduct.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the guidance of COPE guidelines on retractions

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
