Abstract
This paper presents a compact linearly polarized double-arm Archimedean spiral antenna positioned between a circular reflector and a spiral parasitic element. The proposed design has a simulated gain of 10.6 dBi and an aperture reduction of 40% when compared to an equivalent half-wavelength dipole. Linear polarization has been maintained despite the spiral geometry of the antenna.
