Abstract
This work presents a novel method of using a vector network analyzer with a bulk current injection probe to measure the common-mode current of microstrip components in a RF/microwave circuit. Based on the proposed measurement, the far-field radiated emissions are determined, which correlate with measurements obtained in a fully-anechoic chamber. In this study, the proposed method is developed to determine the radiated emissions from a microstrip resonator and a microstrip bandpass filter. Full-wave electromagnetic simulations demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed measurement.
