J. M. Waterhouse 2 August 1944–26 October 2016

Jim Waterhouse passed away on Wednesday, 26 October 2016 at the age of 72 years.

He was an excellent researcher, one of the pioneers of chronobiological research in the United Kingdom.

His remarkable scientific contribution to the field was multiplied by his permanent enthusiastic efforts to help younger generations of researchers to advance their scientific methodology and the quality of their publications.

We were very fortunate to have him for many years as editor on the board of our journal.

He has had a profound impact on the content of a big amount of journal’s publications including several special issues and continued to work with the journal’s submissions till his last days. We will miss very much his expertise, friendship and humanity.

We hope his family will find the strength to deal with this very painful loss.
