* The ala nasi—wing—of the nose is the lower lateral surface of the external nose. It is cartilaginous and flares out to form a rounded eminence around the nostril.

Sarjinder Singh is a tenured professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University–Kingsville. He earned his PhD from Punjab Agricultural University in India. His research interests include survey sampling and applied statistics.
