Abstract

The queen of the ant Solenopsis saudiensis Sharaf & Aldawood, Citation2011 is described for the first time from Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A provisional key to the two Saudi Arabian species of the genus is presented based on the queen caste. Brief ecological and biological notes are also given.
