Abstract
The matrix equation in the inversion of particle sizing based on forward light scattering is an ill-posed problem. To solve such an inversion problem, a number of algorithms have been proposed. The single parameter regularization is effective for retrieving the particle size distribution, but the solution is usually oscillatory in the presence of measurement errors. In this work, a multi-parameter regularization is presented to diminish the oscillations of the solution, which is verified with simulations and experiments.
