Abstract

This paper discusses a set of mathematical and physical properties regarding spatial coherence wavelets, a concept recently developed by Castaiieda and Garcia-Sucerquia. Some of these properties are inherited from the Wigner distribution function. The uncertainty principle that they obey, the superposition of uncorrelated spatial coherence wavelets and the effective diffraction aperture, are discussed.
