Abstract

A mathematical model for the process of electron beam welding, based on the solution of the nonlinear Stefan problem, by the finite difference method is described. An original adaptive algorithm is proposed. The algorithm can be used to determine the required power of the electron beam and the efficiency of focusing in the dialogue regime in determining the working conditions of equipment on the basis of the defined characteristics of the welded joint and welding speed.
