Using the wavelet analysis of secondary current signals for investigating and controlling electron beam welding

Pages 460-465 | Published online: 12 Oct 2012

Abstract

The results of investigations of secondary current signals in plasma in electron beam welding by wavelet analysis are presented. The results of discrete wavelet transformation show that the energy of the signal in electron beam welding with a power of 2–12 kW in the high-frequency range is concentrated mainly in the frequency range 8–63 kHz. The dependence of the specification coefficient on the specific welding power is studied.
