Abstract
It is shown that it is important to improve further the technology for welding oil and gas equipment produced from materials with high weldability (low-alloy steels) and working in the conditions of steep temperature gradients in the environment. The results of microstructural analysis, the tests of the impact bend strength of the specimens at different temperatures, and also the data obtained in the determination of the level of residual stresses of the third kind are used to show the possibility of increasing the parameters of the reliability of the welded oil and gas equipment produced from low-alloy steels.
