Technological features of the porous functional ceramic coatings formation on aluminium by the method of microarc oxidation in silicate electrolytes

ABSTRACT

In this work, the team of authors investigated the possibility of using porosity of ceramic coatings synthesized by the microarc oxidation of aluminium for the formation of cermet coatings. Experimentally proved that at electrochemical nickel plating of MAO coatings, it is possible to obtain cermet coatings. It is shown that the nickel introduction into the ceramic matrix of the MAO coating obtained in a silicate-alkaline electrolyte eliminates the formation of through pores. The effect of current characteristics and the concentration of a silicate-alkaline electrolyte on the oil absorption of the formed ceramic coatings during microarc oxidation of aluminium experimentally were proved.
