ABSTRACT
The use of the contact strengthening effect at narrow bevel welding of high-strength steels with less durable welding materials is a promising solution to many technological problems. However, the method of quantitatively accounting for this effect at the analysis of the static equal strength of the welded joint remains not developed. In this regard, tests of samples with variable bevel parameters and strength combinations of the base metal and weld metal, as well as numerical studies of the FEM processes of their deformation in a 3D setting are performed. On the basis of the obtained results, interpolation relations, which make it possible to predict the strength of a mechanically inhomogeneous welded joint, are proposed.
