Quality cost models and their application: A review

Total quality management (TQM) today emerges as one of the most important elements in strategic management with the importance of quality costs increasing as a measure to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of quality activities. This paper reviews different quality cost models currently in practice, compares both the strengths and the weaknesses of each model, and highlights their application in different areas.
