When the above article was first published, in the third critical phase paragraph on page 114, the loss percentage of the council over the four years was incorrectly listed as 20% instead of 16%. The corrected sentence is given below:

The third, critical phase began in May, 2015. In the 2015–2016 Budget, the Council lost AUD$104.7M over four years – roughly 16% of its annual allocation – and was deprived of a number of significant national initiatives in order to fund a new national cultural agency, the National Programme for Excellence in the Arts (Eltham, 2015a; Knott, 2015).
