BAS is part of a group of public health professionals in New Zealand who are taking court action against a New Zealand food industry group, a public relations consultant and a blogger for defamation. GS, BAS and AJC are currently conducting a study to benchmark the nutrition-related policies of major food and beverage companies in Australia and New Zealand.

This has now been included in both the print and online versions.
