Mitja Sardoc

Mitja Sardoc (PhD) is a senior research associate at the Educational Research Institute in Ljubljana (Slovenia). He is author of scholarly articles and editor of a number of journal special issues on citizenship education, toleration, patriotism, equality of opportunity, multiculturalism, radicalization, and violent extremism. He is Managing Editor of Theory and Research in Education [http://tre.sagepub.com/] and Editor-in-Chief of the Handbook of Patriotism to be published by Springer. This interview was being carried out during his stay as a visiting fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (European University Institute).
