Effect of roadside planting on suspended particulate matter concentration near road

Abstract

Concentration of suspended particulate matter (SPM) and metals in the air in roadside plantations and open fields were measured. SEM and metal concentrations in the plantation were lower than those in the open fields. This may be due to deposition of particles to the canopy of the roadside plantation.
