ABSTRACT

One of the keys to early childhood education program success is providing opportunities for teachers and parents to create effective partnerships. However, teachers often face difficulties in involving parents in parenting activities. The authors employed the qualitative case study method to explore teachers’ and parents’ collaboration in the context of early childhood education. The authors conducted observations, interviews, and field notes in collecting the data. The data were analysed thematically using qualitative data analysis. The analysis focuses on the implementation of a three-stage partnership workshop involving teachers and parents. The findings of this study demonstrate that workshops focused on teamwork, which aim to enhance collaboration between teachers and parents, have been found to be successful in promoting the exchange of knowledge, skills, experiences, challenges, and solutions pertaining to the provision of educational services that are pertinent to child development. Consequently, these workshops have the potential to foster a harmonious partnership between teachers and parents.
