Thesis title: Reconceptualising a job interview through the use of a Digital Story Résumé: The experiences of creators and viewers.
University awarding the degree: University of Wollongong, Australia
Degree awarded and year: : DEd, 2021
The Australian government’s transition to work program delivered by employment service providers, assists young adults 15–24 years with a learning disability, to transition from school into employment. Young adults with dyslexia and autism can struggle with writing a job résumé to be confident at the job interview. The significance of this study was to investigate the reconceptualisation of a traditional résumé as a digital story résumé to support these adults entering the employment market. This case study consisted of five job seekers from the transition to work program and three viewers/employers. Results revealed that creating a digital story résumé supported these young adults to realise that they could showcase their skills and in doing so build the confidence to attend the job interview.
