Notes

1. The Accounting Directive falls under the responsibility of DG Internal Market, but other DGs in the Commission have been more active in the CSR field, including DG Enterprise, DG Environment and DG Social Affairs. Before 2010, the DG Internal Market did not seem to agree with the other DGs on the need for regulation.

2. At the time of the impact assessment report, these two studies were at the working paper stage, but they were later to be published in academic journals.
