Where is this title from? These affective terms are literally intimately bound up with the author's personal experience. An extremely personal and difficult paper to write, although with some cathartic value. For it was hotel intimacies when abroad that untied a relationship at home. Therefore, hotel intimacy and estrangement runs throughout the writing and thinking of this paper as a constant emotional presence.
