How appreciation of RMB impacts on Chinese textile exports?

Abstract

A continued appreciation of the Renminbi against the US dollar after the 2005 reform affected much on China’s international trade which mainly settled through the US dollar. The textiles export as one of the major source of China’s surplus and as a labor-intensive industry, the impact should be greater. This paper based on the analysis of appreciation of China and the states of textiles and apparels export, explores the impact and extent on the export of textiles export by the appreciation of the Renminbi and makes some suggestions
