Bayesian inference and prediction for modified Weibull distribution under generalized order statistics

Abstract

Based on generalized order statistics (gos), Bayes estimators have been obtained for parameters, reliability and hazard function from modified Weibull distribution. The Bayes estimators are studied under squared error loss and LINEX error loss functions. The Bayesian prediction intervals for gos from the modified Weibull distribution are obtained in one sample case. Finally, a real life data set and simulation data are used to illustrate the theoretical results.
