Non–fuzzy sets for intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Abstract

We examine an important paper of Gerstenkorn and Mańko that was published in Fuzzy Sets and Systems. Their paper is the pioneer for correlation coefficient similarity measure. We point out several questionable results and then provide our improvement that will useful to develop theoretical structure for similarity measures under intuitionistic fuzzy sets environment.
