Abstract
The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the Aerial Parts (APs) and Seed Parts (SPs) of Malcolmia africana (Cruciferae) were analysed by GC and GC-MS. The oil of APs and SPs of M. africana were found to contain α-Eudesmol (12.4 ), isothiocyanato ethane (11.5 %), limonene (10.3 %), and jasmone (8.8 %) as major constituents, respectively. The oils obtained from APs and SPs of M. africana were rich in non-terpene compounds with percentages of 43.1 % and 77.7 %, respectively.
