Abstract
The floral twigs of Chenopodium ambrosioides L. were collected from Uttarkashi (Garhwal region) of Uttarakhand state (India). These twigs were shade dried and then seeds were sorted out. The essential oil of seeds of C. ambrosioides L. was analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Ascaridole (40.7 %), isoascaridole (22.7 %), α-terpinene (17.9 %) and p-cymene (8.5 %) were present as major compounds.
