Abstract
In this paper, we study the propagation threshold in an integrodifference predator–prey system of Leslie–Gower type. A propagation threshold is defined. We first prove that the threshold is the minimal wave speed of travelling wave solutions modelling the spatial invasion process of the predator. Furthermore, when the initial condition in the corresponding initial value problem reflects that the predator is the invader while the prey is the resident species, we confirm that the threshold is the spreading speed of the predator.
