Using neutron spin echo to probe space and time correlations in thin films

Pages 221-227 | Accepted 25 Aug 2006, Published online: 24 Nov 2006

Abstract

I discuss the possibility of making minor modifications to existing neutron spin echo (NSE) spectrometers to enable the measurement of both the space and time dependence of density fluctuations in thin films mounted on planar substrates. The modifications consist primarily of adding four additional π flippers.
