Readers will be aware that Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering publishes a yearly supplement in liaison with the Société de Biomécanique.

It has come to the attention of the Editors and Taylor & Francis (Publishers) that an error in the abstract to the article:

has been detected. This is hereby corrected below. The Editors and Taylor & Francis (Publishers) note that the authors sincerely apologise for this error and for any inconvenience caused.

On p. 199, lines 26‐30, column 1, should read:

“This study presents the use of a biofidelic child FE model for investigations on the effect of child abuse, comparing a vigorous shaking and an inflicted impact defined as the terminal portion of a vigorous shaking (Roth et al. 2007)”.

In addition, a new reference is added to p. 201, line 1, column 2:
