The Resonance Neutrons in Activation Analysis

Part 2: Determination of Gold in Biological Material based on the Analysis of Decay Curve

Pages 11-15 | Received 15 Jun 1967, Published online: 13 Aug 2008

Abstract

The gold in biological material is determined on the basis of the selective activation and decompositin of the decay curve. The selective activation is carried out in the core of the nuclear reactor. Before the activation the samples are covered with the Cd-foil. The decay curve is obtained by integral measurement using a scintillation counter and eliminating beta rays by filters.
