Isotopic Exchange between Monomethylamine and Hydrogen I. Determination of Separation Factors

Abstract

Deuterium separation factors for the monomethylamine-hydrogen exchange process have been measured over a temperature range of −70 to +55 °C and pressure from 0.5 to 100 bar using metal as well as glass systems. During these studies, methylamine was kept in the liquid phase. These measured values have been found to be in very good agreement with the theoretical values of the separation factors.
