Notes

[1] Though all three are used to prolong a man's sexual performance, tiger bone, a liquid which is drunk, is perceived as a tonic and therefore more natural. Stone is a solid that is rubbed onto the penis and chiney brush is sprayed on. Both deaden sensation in the penis.

[2] The British Link-up Crew is a popular group of promoters who stage parties in the United States, Jamaica, and Britain.

[3] The ‘wifey’ and ‘matey’ can be viewed through the spectrum of the virgin–whore dynamic though such a binary opposition would distort the differences and similarities that exist between them. The wife (used interchangeably with ‘wifey’) is not necessarily married to the man but is viewed as his steady partner. Furthermore, it is more faithfulness and good maternal instincts that are promoted in the ‘wife’, rather than chastity.
