The author and editor would like to draw the reader's attention to a few errors in the following article:
Hameiri, S., 2009. ‘The region within: RAMSI, the Pacific Plan and new modes of governance in the Southwest Pacific’, Australian Journal of International Affairs, 63(3): 348–360.
On p. 348, the author states that Howard failed to attend any PIF leaders’ meetings before his government changed its approach to the Pacific in 2003. Howard, however, did not attend the meetings held in 1998, 1999 and 2001 only.
On p. 349, the author states that Australian diplomat Greg Urwin was appointed to PIF Secretary General in 2004. In fact, Urwin was officially appointed at the PIF leaders’ meeting held in Auckland in August 2003 and he took office in 2004.
