Reclaiming security

“Security” is a universal yet nebulous concept. Its meaning and practice have changed over time. It's undergoing another transformation right now. Increasingly, security goes beyond the needs of the nation‐state, and beyond narrow military and geo‐political considerations. Future concepts of security must embrace the interdependence of all peoples on a range of indivisible issues.
