Three-Component One-Pot Reactions of N-Methylimidazole and Activated Acetylenes in the Presence of CH-Acids Such as 4-Hydroxy-6-Methyl-2H-Pyran-2-One or N-Phenyl-3-Hydroxynaphthalene-2-Carboxamide

Abstract

One-pot, three-component reaction between N-methylimidazole and activated acetylenes in the presence of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one or N-phenyl-3-hydroxynaphthalene-2-carboxamide as CH-acids affords 2,3-dihydroimidazoles which has advantages such as simple workup and affording yield.
