Abstract

The phenomena of buoyant Marangoni natural convection in a right-angled trapezoidal enclosure filled with water-based nanofluids have been studied numerically. The left vertical wall of the trapezoidal cavity is heated uniformly, the right inclined wall is cooled, and the top and bottom walls are insulated (adiabatic). The finite element method (FEM) is implemented to solve the non-dimensional governing equations. The investigation has been done for different values of parameters: the aspect ratio of the enclosure, 0.25 Ar 1, the nanoparticles volume fraction, 0%ϕ5%, the Marangoni numbers, 0 Mabf 103, and the Rayleigh numbers, 103 Rabf 104.
