Abstract
Dual-grid level-set method (DGLSM), originally proposed for diffuse-interface LSM, is presented here for sharp-interface LSM—called as sharp-interface dual-grid level-set method (SI-DGLSM). Numerical methodology is presented in detail, with a finite-volume-method-based generic formulation. Performance study is presented for the novel SI-DGLSM as compared to the DI-DGLSM and the SI-LSM, by comparing the numerical results with in-house/published experimental/numerical results on five different two-phase flow problems.
