Abstract

This paper reports the results of an investigation of the link between construct system development and evaluation along certain dimensions of judgment. Three potential dimensions of judgment tied to classroom goals and effectiveness criteria (task, relational, and communicative) were identified, and results indicated that students who possessed more differentiated construct systems for construing teachers viewed the classroom situation in a more multidimensional fashion. This result supports recent constructivist theory.
