ABSTRACT

A three-dimensional quantum lattice algorithm (QLA) for electromagnetic wave propagation is being developed by stitching together the individual QLAs for 1D wave propagation in the three orthogonal Cartesian directions

George Vahala is a Professor of Physics at William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA. The author got his PhD, MS (Physics) from University of Iowa, BSc (Applied Math) from University of Western Australia. The authors' areas of research interest are turbulence modeling in plasma physics, wave propagation in tokamaks, lattice Boltzmann and quantum lattice algorithms for solitons, BECs and plasmas.

Linda Vahala

Linda Vahala is a Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University. The author got her PhD (Physics) from Old Dominion University, MS (Physics) from University of Iowa and BS (Physics) from University of Illinois. The authors' areas of research interest are cell phones in aircraft fuselage, neutral networks, wave propagation in tokamaks, lattice algorithms for nonlinear physics and plasma physics.

Min Soe

Min Soe is a Professor of Physics at Rogers State University, Claremore, OK. The author got his PhD (Physics) from William and Mary, MS (Mathematics) from Hampton University and BSc (Physics) from Rangoon University, Rangoon, Burma. The authors' areas of research interest are Magnetohydrodynamics and plasma physics, Kinetic theory of turbulence modeling, mesoscale simulation methods and large-scale parallel computing.

Abhay K. Ram

Abhay K. Ram is a Principal Research Scientist with the Plasma at Science and Fusion Center, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and his PhD from MIT. His research encompasses a broad range of topics in plasma physics and controlled fusion.
