Stereochemical and Electronic Interaction Studies of Some Meta- andPara-Substituted α-Methylsulfinyl-α-Diethoxyphosphoryl Acetophenones

Abstract

The ν _CO IR and [1]H NMR data of some meta- and para-substitutedα-methylsulfinyl-α-diethoxyphosphorylacetophenones, along with theoretical calculations, have shown the existence of two pairs of diasteromers (racemic mixture) both in solution of solvents of increasing polarity and in the gas phase.
