Abstract
Organoantimony (III) amides of the type Ar2SbL; (Ar = C6H5, C6F5, C6H4F; L = succinimide and phthallimide) were synthesized and assayed for their biological activities. These compounds exhibited significant in-vitro antitumor activity against human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (MCF-7), mammary cancer cell line (EVSA-7), and antibacterial activity against human pathogenic bacteria viz. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Klebsiela pneumoniae. These compounds also exhibited remarkable antifungal activity against Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger strains.
