A Convenient Method for the Aerobic Oxidation of Thiols to Disulfides

Abstract

Thiols are oxidized to the corresponding disulfides using K+/CH 3 CN system under ambient conditions in the presence of air. This system provides a convenient, rapid, and efficient aerobic oxidative for the syntheses of symmetrical disulfides.
