Abstract

The preparation and the properties of the elusive alk-1-yn-1-yl disulfides are reviewed, including the most recent quantum chemical findings with regard to their reactivity.

Dedicated to Professor Marian Mikołajczyk, CBMiM PAN in Łódź, Poland, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
