Abstract

A one-pot reaction methodology was developed to synthesize the functionalized (triphenylphosphoranylidene)cyclopenta-1,3-dienecarboxylatecarboxy- lates from triphenylphosphine, but-2-ynedioate, and the substituted chalcones for the generation of a wide range of structurally interesting and pharmacologically significant compounds. The structure of (triphenylphosphoranylidene)cyclopenta-1,3- dienecarboxylatecarboxylate (4g) was further confirmed by a X-ray single crystal analysis.
