Abstract
A simple, novel, efficient, and environmentally benign protocol has been established for the synthesis of α-diaminophosphonates in good to excellent yields (74–93%) by a one-pot, three-component reaction of 4,4′-dioxyaniline, various aryl/heteroaryl aldehydes, and diphenyl H-phosphonate by using polyethylene glycol (PEG-600) in water as a green solvent at 80°C via Kabachnik–Fields reaction. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis.
