ABSTRACT
The deoxygenation of different phosphine oxides is an important issue. In this minireview, the reduction of mainly cyclic phosphine oxides and triaryl derivatives is surveyed using different silanes, such as trichlorosilane, phenylsilane, tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDS) and polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS). The best solution is the catalyst-free microwave (MW)-assisted variation in the absence of any solvent.
