ABSTRACT

The length of Pd/Pt←NMe2Ar bonds is somewhat subject to a trans effect. Otherwise, they exhibit the criteria of normal covalent bonds. It is concluded that complexes containing Pd/Pt←NR3 bonds belong to the realm of molecular rather than that of supramolecular chemistry.
