Synthesis and characterization of a new dinuclear ruthenium(II) complex with a bridging P/S-ligand

Abstract

We describe the synthesis of a new (aminomethyl)phosphine, 1-Ph2PCH2NH{2-SCH2C6H4(4-OMe)}C6H4 (L1) with P/S donor capabilities and show that this ligand can bind in a P/S-bridging mode to two {RuCl2(C10H14)} fragments. The X-ray crystal structure of [1-Ph2P{RuCl2(C10H14)}CH2NH][2-S{RuCl2(C10H14)}CH2C6H4(4-OMe)]C6H4 (1) has been determined.
